JO-06 is the basic 000-shaped model of the Songwriter II series. This model comes with a non-cutaway body made of mahogany back and sides with spruce sound board on top. Top panel is solid, while the back and sides are laminated. This type of construction is very frequent for intermediate models and guitars which cost around or under $1,000. Top is equipped with elegant creme binding, tortoise shell pickguard and single circle rosette. Slightly vintage-oriented styling is continued with nickel-plated die-cast tuning machines on the headstock. Johnson makes this model completely acoustic with no pickups or preamps installed on it. Bridge section of this model is equipped with a regular belly-contoured rosewood bridge. Neck is made of mahogany and it`s topped with a rosewood fingerboard.
