Martin`s Special Editions series contains all those models, which could not be fit into any of the regular series of the catalog. Alternative X is one of those models and it comes with a single-cut grand concert body. It`s made of high pressure laminated wood to save on the production costs and ultimately lower the final price of the guitar. Body of this model is equipped with affordable electronics setup, which includes a side-mounted preamp with a set of controls. Body of this model is equipped with creme binding and swirling graffiti aluminum top. Bridge section is a regular one, featuring standard-shaped black micarta bridge. Neck is attached to the body with a mortise & tenon joint and topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of black micarta.
