Special Edition series in Martin catalog is established in order to encompass all of the models which don`t fit into any other series or have special features. D Mahogany is one such model and it comes with a non-cutaway dreadnought shaped body. Back and sides on this model are made of mahogany and the top panel is made of spruce. Top is bound in combination of tortoise and brown binding and equipped with a tortoise pickguard. Sound hole is decorated with a double circle rosette. Bridge sports a classic belly shape and it`s made of katalox. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it is equipped with a V contour. This set-in neck is topped with a katalox fingerboard. 20 frets, dot inlays, 16" radius and 1.75" wide bone nut complete the fingerboard.
