D-35 Johnny Cash is a remake of the original Special D-35 made several decades ago. The original was the first Martin ever to have a polished black top. It was among Johnny`s favorite Martin guitars and he played it for nearly 20 years. This replica comes with a non-cutaway dreadnought body made of rosewood back and sides with spruce sound board on top. Top panel is equipped with a simple and elegant set of decorations. Ivoroid binding, black plastic pickguard and multiple rosette rings decorate the top. This model is available only in black with gloss finish. Neck is made of hardwood and it`s equipped with oval contour. It`s topped with a standard 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony. Bridge is also made of ebony. The MSRP for this model is set at $5,799.
