D-42 Purple Martin is the third of its kind and the first one with D-42 designation. Named after a bird of the same name, Purple Martins offer a genuine voice, supremely elegant feathers, and top-class build quality. The D-42 costs $13,499.00 and there will only be 50 models made (all signed personally by Chris Martin). Some of the prestigious appointments include lavish abalone inlays across the board, Liquidmetal bridge pins, gold-plated Schaller tuners, and all-solid body/neck construction. Natural is, of course, the only available color option for this exclusive bird. Other important features include figured plum katalox back & sides, solid bearclaw spruce top, genuine mahogany neck w/modified low oval profile, ebony fingerboard w/Purple Martin inlays, and a fixed ebony bridge.
