DC-16E is a 16 series dreadnought, introduced into the lineup at 2017 NAMM. It is a 000-depth dreadnought (000s are, generally, slightly shallower than dreads), and the cutaway variant of the D-16E. The price is set at $2,899.00.
DC-16E starts off with a single-cut dreadnought body (Venetian cutaway, silver binding, black pickguard), 14th fret simple dovetail joint, standard 25-2/5" scale, satin pearl hardware, and 16 series` modern styling. The color palette sports only one option - Natural (combined satin/gloss finish). The key components include sycamore back & sides, solid Sitka spruce top (forward-shifted Sitka spruce X binding), select hardwood neck (modified low oval profile) and 20-fret ebony fingerboard.
Other notable features include Fishman Matrix VT Enhance NT2 electronics system, ebony bridge, and open-gear tuners.
