Origins is a model from martin`s X series characterized by an elaborate graphic found on it`s top. It depicts various production stages a guitars goes through, with a picture of Martin factory at the very bottom of the graphic. Due to having this elaborate graphic, Origins model features no pickguards, bindings or sound hole rosette. Origins comes as a dreadnought guitar with non-cutaway design. Back, top and sides are made of high pressure laminated wood. Bridge section is equipped with a belly shaped bridge made of black richlite, which is Martin`s substitute for ebony parts on budget friendly models. Neck is made of another substitute material, the natural stratabond and it features mortise & tenon joint. Fingerboard is made of black richlite and it comes with 20 frets with no position inlays.
