Ovation`s C779AX belongs to the advanced Custom Legend series. This series is made for the players who are looking for custom shop level of quality, but don`t have that kind of money. Serious quality of build, ergonomics and tone are the paramount principles of the Legend series. C779AX also brings the vintage design to the table. Single-cut and flat, body of this dreadnought-shaped six-string is made of the composite bowl (Lyrachord style) in the back, and a solid AAA grade spruce sound board on the top. Fixed bridge with compensated saddle and piezo pickup beneath the saddle, is made of ebony. Besides the standard bridge, the 20-fret fingerboard is made of ebony as well. OP-Pro Studio pickup/preamp combo, die-cast tuners and diamond inlays wrap this short review.
