Collector`s Series is one of the biggest and currently the most important members of Ovations Guitars catalog. It offers the classic Ovation concept based around the Lyrachord body (composite bowl back, two-piece wooden top) with either offset or conventional soundholes. The highlight of the series is the use of exotix tops (often, they`re just veneers over the regular spruce tops). Collector`s Series Deep Contour C2078AXP-AF is one of eleven C2078 six-stringers with offset soundholes. Okoume is used for the soundboard here, with the Sunburst being the only available color option (gloss finish, black/gold hardware). Other notable features include a solid, two-piece top, a 5-piece mahogany/maple neck, a 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony, a fixed ebony bridge, and die-cast tuners.
