Mick Thompson and Ovation have joined forces to make an acoustic guitar for Mick and the result is Mick Thompson Signature, a model situated within the Celebrity series. This guitar suits the heavy metal persona Mick has, it comes in black color with minimalist design features. For example, Epaulette around the sound holes is scratched from the specs list. Furthermore, tuning machines installed on the headstock are plated in black, instead of series` standard gold. Scale remains 25-1/4" long and it stretches from the belly-contoured walnut bridge to 1-11/16" wide synthetic bone nut. Back is made of composite materials and top is made of spruce. Electronics department features OP-PRO preamp and OCP1K pickup. Maple-made neck has V contour and it`s topped with 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
