PD-55 goes a step further than the series` basic model, PD-50. 55 is a non-cutaway dreadnought model with a body made of laminated mahogany back and sides with a solid spruce top. The top is bound in three layers of black and white binding and equipped with a teardrop-shaped tortoise pickguard. In the bridge section Peerless installs a rosewood bridge with belly shape, black string pins and white saddle. Fishman supplies the Classic 4T preamp/pickup combo for the amplification of this model. Control panel contains volume, three-band equalizer and brilliance sliders. The neck is made of mahogany and equipped with C shape. Rosewood is the material for the fingerboard. It brings 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1.69" wide string nut. 25-1/2" scale and die-cast tuners complete the specs.
