Popular Rodriguez models come also with single cut variants. These single cut acoustic-electrics are placed within the separate line named Cutaway. Single cut construction and L.R. Baggs electronics are the main features to differentiate a Cutaway series model from other series guitars. FF Cutaway is originally from Macizas series, but after the cutaway and electronics treatment, it now belongs to the Cutaway series. Nevertheless, it`s body is made of cypress and spruce. Cypress comprises back and side panels, while the spruce is used for the top panel only. Spruce-made soundboard is equipped with Indian rosewood binding and classical rosette. Bridge section features a standard shaped bridge made of rosewood. Neck is made of cedar and it`s attached to the body with a dovetail joint set at 12th fret. 19-fret fingerboard is made of ebony.
