Maritime series in the Seagull catalog bears the badge that says SWS, it stands for the Solid Wood Series. All of the models feature solid bodies in this line and so does Maritime SWS Semi-Gloss. It is a dreadnought-shaped steel stringer with body made of solid mahogany back and sides and solid spruce sound board on top. This six-stringer is fully acoustic, as Seagull luthiers opted not to install any electronics on it. There fore, this one is only for the unplugged play and it sounds awesome. Mahogany, spruce and rosewood from the bridge and fingerboard create an amazing blend with traditional ring to it. Also, Maritime models are very comfortable and extremely well built. Mahogany neck on this one sports Seagull`s famous slim contour in the back.
