Takamine celebrates 50 years in business this year, and for the anniversary they prepared their first ever Limited Edition G model. This guitar features some appointments previously unseen on a G series guitar. EG60TH Anniversary kicks off with a cutaway dreadnought shape and body made of solid mahogany back and sides and solid spruce top. The top is flat and bound in multiple layers of binding. It also features a black plastic pickguard with spreading vine inlay. Sound hole is adorned with a double circle rosette. This model is available in only one color option, natural gloss. The bridge is made of rosewood and features belly shape, white string pins and a white, plastic saddle. Amplification is done through Takamine pickup/preamp system which is headed by famous TP-4T preamp with on-board controls. control panel contains bass, mid and treble sliders, gain knob and tuner on/off button with LED display. Battery compartment is also placed on the control panel. The neck is attached to the body at the standard 14th fret and features a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard is equipped with 20 frets and vine inlay placed at the 12th fret. The rest of the fingerboard features no inlays. 1-11/16" nut width and gold plated hardware complete the specs for this Anniversary limited model.
