Classical series in g segment of the Takamine catalog is being thoroughly reconstructed for the upcoming 2014 season. Takamine has introduced six new models and GC1CE-NAT is one of three acoustic-electric models. It comes with a classic acoustic body wit single cutaway (it is a tradition for amplified variants of classic and acoustic models to feature single-cut bodies). Back and sides are made of laminated mahogany, while the top is made of spruce, also laminated. This is the standard tone wood combo for the new classical series. On the top, Takamine installs a standard rosewood bridge with a compensated saddle (it is made of synthetic bone). Takamine TP-E preamp with integrated chromatic tuner and volume and tone controls is featured on the side of the body. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the classic 12th fret dovetail joint. On it`s top, Takamine installs a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard with flat radius, classical frets, 2" synthetic bone nut and side dot inlays. The MSRP for this basic acoustic-electric model is set at $434,99.
