Takamine is one of the most important guitar brands from the land of the rising sun. Their recent catalog changes and updates reveal that Takamine is getting ready for a full blown offensive in 2014. According to those plans, Classical series in G segment is being rebuilt with six new models. GC3CE-NAT is one of them. It is a standard shaped classical guitar with nylon-string construction, single-cut classical body, neck joint at the 12th fret, flat fingerboard radius and the standard 25-3/5" scale. Body of this intermediate acoustic-electric nylon-stringer is made of mahogany and spruce. Laminated mahogany is used for the back and sides, while the sound board is made of solid spruce. Rosewood bridge on the top features a compensated saddle made of plastic (synthetic bone). Underneath the hood, Takamine installs the standard TP4T preamp with built in equalizer and tuner. Mahogany neck features the standard classical contour in the back and a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Takamine has set the MSRP for this gorgeous nylon-stringer at $504.99.

This guitar is beautifully designed, constructed and comfortable to play. It sounds full and even no matter where I play on the neck. Very reasonably priced. I think the truss rod is a good idea although I haven't had to adjust it. It played well right out of purchase. With the electronics on board I just plug in and play. I'm happy with my purchase.
