LTD 2018 Gifu-Cho is the latest in the line of annual limited edition Takamine models. Like many of its predecessors, the Gifu-Cho is based on Takamine`s own NEX body style, sporting the non-cutaway variant. The striking inlays which sprawl from headstock to the pickguard are, along with abalone rosette & binding, the centerpiece of the new LTD. This year, the color of choice is Natural, with gloss finish, gold-plated hardware, and black headstock veneer. Main features include back/sides made of ovangkol (solid top), a solid cedar soundboard (2-piece construction), African mahogany neck (gloss finish, 14th fret dovetail joint), a 20-fret ebony fingerboard (white binding, standard-sized frets, 1.67" bone nut), a fixed ovangkol bridge, CTP3 Cooltube electronics, and gold-plated Gotoh tuning machines.
