P2DC is the only model on the current roster of Takamine`s Pro Series 2 line. More models are expected to fill up the ranks of this rather upscale series (it is one of seven main Pro lines which replace the old Takamine Pro Series range). Right off the bat, P2DC makes it clear it means business. Serious business. Sapele back and sides combined with a solid spruce sound board give a rich, warm and well defined tone, suitable for strummers and finger-pickers alike. Natural-finished body comes with vintage styling, together with a classic black pickguard and a triple rosette. Mahogany neck is asymmetrical (a bit fatter on the bass side) and has a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Takamine`s own Palathetic pickup and CT4B II preamp are coupled in the electronics department, delivering impressive results in the amplification section.
