Every Spring and Fall Taylor introduces a new set of limited edition models. It is an opportunity to see some standard shapes and series with exotic tonewoods and exclusive appointments. This Spring, 300 series of acoustic-electric guitars has received koa treatment. Six models make up the series roster, with 312ce-N-LTD and 314ce-N-LTD being the only nylon stringed guitars of the line. It kicks off with a grand concert body with a Venetian cutaway. Sound board features black binding and triple ring rosette. There are no pickguards on this nylon-stringer. 312ce-N-LTD comes in natural color with a mix of satin and gloss finish. The bridge is a standard feature for the entire 300 Hawaiian Koa Series and it comes with belly shape and ebony string pins. In the electronics department, there is Taylor Expression System with special features for nylon-stringers. It is controlled through a side-mounted control panel. The neck is made of tropical mahogany and attached to the body with a dovetail joint. Headstock is mounted onto the neck with a scarf joint. The fingerboard is made of ebony and equipped with 20 frets, dot position inlays and 15" radius. 25-1/2" scale, chrome hardware, TUSQ string nut and Taylor tuning pegs complete the list of specs. The MSRP for 312ce-N-LTD is set at $2,898.
