Taylor`s 300 series of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars is situated right above the entry level, which is consisted of guitars from the 100 and 200 series. Even though it is not considered an entry level series, it is still far away from the exclusivity and luxury of 800 and 900 series. This series offers four distinct body shapes and 314ce is a grand auditorium with single cutaway design and dovetail neck joint. Standard natural color option is finished in gloss. Tuners are chrome-plated and made by Taylor. Sapele back and sides are topped with spruce sound board. Bridge section features a regular shaped bridge made of ebony. Mahogany is the material of choice for the standard shaped neck, which is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
