Walnut is rarely used for entire bodies, as it is very heavy wood. But, since it has great tonal properties it is used for certain parts of the body to add more strength and brightness to the tone. Spring 2010 Limited Edition featured an entire series dedicated to walnut. 410ce-LTD is the series opener. It is a single cutaway dreadnought guitar with Taylor Expression system electronics. Natural color is the only option available and it is finished in gloss. Chrome plated Taylor tuners and maple binding decorate this model. Maple and walnut are used for back and sides, while the spruce is on top. Ebony bridge is matched with a 20-fret ebony-made fingerboard. It features dot inlays, 15" radius and 1.75" TUSQ nut. Neck is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body with a dovetail joint.
