400 Series Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Taylor
400 series, though advertised as an intermediate series is all, except an actual intermediate series. First of all, the prices for regular 400 acoustics start around $2,000 (at $2,099, to be exact), with all of the models sporting all-solid bodies. Moreover, all 400s have Taylor hardware and Taylor electronics. 416ce-R is one of the several grand symphony 400s, and one of the most recently added models. It offers a single-cut body (flat top, rosewood back/sides, Sitka spruce top, white binding, tortoise pickguard), a mahogany neck (Taylor contour, 14th fret dovetail joint), a 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony (dot inlays, 1.75" Tusq nut, 25.5" scale), an ebony bridge (Taylor contour), the famous ES2 pickup/preamp system, and a set of Taylor tuners.
