400 Series Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Taylor
400 Series is, along with 300 and 500 series, a part of the intermediate level of Taylor`s main acoustic range. Its models come in with either ovangkol/spruce or rosewood/spruce bodies, with Taylor electronics, Taylor hardware, and all-solid bodies (bodies made of solid tonewoods, instead of popular laminates). 418e-R is a grand orchestra (Taylor`s variation on the jumbo theme) model, a non-cutaway guitar with a flat-top body (rosewood back/sides, srpuce top, tortoiseshell pickguard), a mahogany neck (Taylor profile, 14th fret dovetail joint), a 20-fret ebony fingerboard (Italian small dot inlays, 1.75" Tusq string nut, 25.5" scale, white binding), an ebony bridge (black string pins, Taylor contour), ES2 electronics system, and Taylor tuners. Taylor offers this one mainly in Natural (though optional color schemes are available), with the starting price being set at $2,099.
