400 Series Acoustic-Electric Guitars by Taylor
The big and spacious Grand Orchestra body shape is Taylor`s equivalent and answer to the cult Jumbo. The official numerical designation for the G.O. models is the number of the series (1-9) plus the number 18. 418e is one of many acoustic-electric 400s in current production. It is a non-cutaway guitar with premium electronics, standard 14th fret neck joint, top-shelf hardware, and all-solid body construction. Taylor sells this one in Natural only, and the price tag`s set at $2,099 (MSRP). Specs list highlights include solid ovangkol back/sides, a solid Sitka spruce soundboard (tortoiseshell pickguard, white binding), a mahogany neck (standard Taylor contour, 14th fret dovetail joint), a 20-fret ebony fingerboard, an ebony bridge (standard Taylor profile), ES2 electronics, and chrome-plated tuners.
