Taylor`s grand auditoriums have always been something special, regardless of the series. But, this year`s 614ce is really something else. It comes with a single-cut body made of maple and spruce. Back and sides are dyed in the seductive "Brown Sugar" color scheme, which fits perfectly with the torrefied spruce sound board on top. Both the top and bottom are bound in a combination of abalone and ebony binding. Top also features the sound hole rosette with the same design. Electronics applied on this model are from the second generation of Taylor`s highly acclaimed Expression System. Second generation piezo pickup is now nestled behind the bridge saddle, and it`s paired with a second generation preamp. Tropical mahogany neck is attached to the body via the 14th fret dovetail joint, and it`s topped with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard.
