Contrary to that, 800 series (which starts at around $3,500) is advertised on Taylor`s site as the main range`s flagship line. Its 816ce DLX is among the series` most expensive models, starting at $4,299. The De Luxe 816 offers a single-cut GS body (Indian rosewood back/sides, solid Sitka spruce top), a mahogany neck (Taylor contour, 14th fret dovetail joint), an ebony fingerboard (20 frets, Element inlays, 1.75" nut), ebony bridge, ES2 electronics, and Gotoh tuners.
