Builder`s Reserve Series from Taylor Guitars represent ultra-limited lines of very special models built now, and god only knows when, if ever again. These series come with pairs of either guitar and uke or guitar and an amp. Series with number seven in it`s name comes with a guitar and matching ukulele. Guitar is an orchestra model with non-cutaway design and acoustic-electric construction. Body is made of mahogany, back, sides and sound board are all mahogany-made. This is the most popular tone wood for one-wood bodied acoustic guitars. First of all, it offers great sound and second, it`s more available and affordable than, lets say, koa, Brazilian rosewood or macassar ebony. Thus, it is a more popular variant. Body is bound in ivoroid binding and equipped with an ivoroid rosette with three rings. This one is painted in Vintage Sunburst color scheme with glossy finish. Bridge is made of ebony, as it is Taylor`s traditional and standard bridge option. Electronics feature Taylor Expression System of amplification. Neck is made of mahogany and it features a 12-fret dovetail joint, which is unusual, considering the fact that this one is a steel-stringer. Ebony fingerboard has 18 frets with diamond inlays. Hardware is nickel-plated. This model has a matching ukulele.
