GS Mini series comes in this Spring Limited Edition and it brings scaled-down grand symphony models. There are three models to choose from: GS Mini Blackwood, GS Mini Rosewood and GS Mini Maple. These are all completely acoustic guitars and they represent Taylor`s travel friendly options with Limited Edition treatment. GS Mini Blackwood kicks off with a non-cutaway grand symphony shaped body made of blackwood back and sides and a spruce top. The scale on this model measures 23-1/2" in length and thus the name mini. Top of this model is bound in black and adorned with triple circle rosette and a tortoise shell pickguard. The bridge comes with black string pins and a belly shape. There are no pickups, mics, or preamps installed on this guitar, it is a fully acoustic model. The neck is made of sapele, which is a usual appointment with Taylor`s more affordable guitars. As part of 2012 Spring Limited Edition GS Mini Blackwood features a scarf joint between the neck and headstock. The fingerboard upon the neck is made of ebony and it comes with a regular set of 20 frets. It also features dot position inlays, 15" radius and 1-11/16" wide Nubone string nut. The MSRP for this model is set at $748.
