GS Mini is a series in this year`s Spring Limited Edition which brings short-scaled grand symphony models. The lineup consists of three models: GS Mini Blackwood, GS Mini Rosewood and GS Mini Maple. All of these models are completely acoustic and feature no preamps, pickups or mics installed within the body cavity. A special feature, a sort of a theme for this Spring Limiteds is the scarf joint, which is found on every model within the series. It connects the neck and headstock around the first fret. GS Mini Maple kicks off with a grand symphony shaped body. It has no cutaways and the top is bound in black. Also, the top features a triple circle sound hole rosette and a tortoise pickguard. The bridge comes with a belly shape and black string pins. This GS Mini is available in natural color with varnish finish. Since this is a fully acoustic model, it features no electronics whatsoever. The neck is made of sapele and attached to the body with a dovetail joint. The fingerboard is made of ebony and it comes with 20 frets, dot position inlays, 15" radius and 1-11/16" wide nubone nut. The MSRP for this model is set at $748.
