Loar is a small manufacturer of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with a special accent on vintage-styled models and guitars inspired by the golden age of acoustics and archtop guitars. LH-700 is situated within the Archtop series and it is the top of the line model. It kicks off with a vintage shaped body with no cutaways. It is made of maple back and sides with a solid spruce top. The top is arched, bound in creme binding and equipped with a pair of bound "f" holes. Ebony bridge is compensated and paired with a trapezoid tailpiece. Neck is made of mahogany, and it features a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. Fingerboard is made of ebony. It features 19 frets, dot position inlays and 1.75" wide synthetic bone nut.
