D552E is an acoustic-electric variant of the D552 twelve-stringer from Natura 500 series. It is a non-cutaway dreadnought guitar with a body made of mahogany back and sides and spruce top. Both the back and top of this model are bound in black plastic binding. This represents a nice contrast to the natural gloss finish of this guitar. The top is adorned with a tortoise pickguard and double ring rosette. The neck on this model is made of mahogany and attached to the body with a bolt-on joint. The fingerboard upon this neck is made of rosewood and equipped with 20 frets, dot inlays and 1-13/16" wide fossalite string nut. The bridge is also made of rosewood and it features standard belly shape with fossalite saddle. Under-saddle pickup and B-Band T35 preamp take care of the amplification duties.
