AG40CE is one of only two models featured in the current Apprentice series lineup. Together with AG20CE, AG40CE forms the beginner line of Washburn catalog. The two were made with serious beginners in mind and even come with hardshell guitar cases.
AG40CE is a grand auditorium guitar, with acoustic-electric construction, 25-1/2" scale and modern Washburn design. It also features a single-cut body, chrome hardware (w/black tuner buttons), and 14th fret neck joint. The color palette is limited to Natural (w/gloss finish, Apprentice rosette, white binding). Main neck & body appointments include rosewood back & sides, select spruce top (two-piece top), mahogany neck, and 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (white binding, offset dot inlays, 1-11/16" ABS nut).
Other notable features include Barcus-Berry LX-4 electronics system, die-cast tuners, and rosewood bridge.
