Yamaha`a APX series is situated within the acoustic-electric portion of the catalog and it features several models. APX1200 is the flagship model and it comes with concert shaped body with single cutaway design. The top on this model is made of spruce, while the back and sides are made of rosewood. Top panel features natural binding, gloss finish and an elegant sound hole rosette. Bridge section on this Yamaha is equipped with a belly shaped bridge made of ebony wood. In the electronics department, Yamaha installs System62 preamp with side-mounted control panel. Neck is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body with a dovetail joint. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. It comes with a set of 22 frets with triangular position inlays.
