AD-80CE is the only dread with cutaway in the AD series of Aria`s acoustic dreadnoughts. Also, t is the only one with electronics installed. It`s cutaway is a Florentine one, not a commonly seen Venetian. Folorentine is pointy and adds dynamic to the design. Electronics installed on this model include piezo pickup and preamp. Body of this model is made of rosewood and spruce. Rosewood is on the sides adn back panels, while the top is occupied by spruce. This allows for an optimal combination of rosewood`s warmth and spruce`s crisp. Multi-ply binding, tortoise shell pickguard and multiple rosette are combined with a set of gold-plated tuning machines on the headstock. Neck is made of mahogany, while the belly-shaped bridge and 20-fret fingerboard are made of rosewood.
