Roots badge signifies that a certain Breedlove guitar is a vintage-styled model made after the legendary steel-stringers from the prewar period. This is the case with Roots D/SR Herringbone, it is made after the prewar dreadnoughts. Non-cutaway body is made of rosewood back and sides and spruce sound board on top. This is the most popular combination of tonewoods along with mahogany/spruce pair. This model is finished in high gloss over the natural color of the wood. Hardware is plated in chrome and it includes tuners made by Gotoh. Bridge section is equipped with a belly shaped bridge made of ebony.
