SJ stands for Small Jumbo and these models, in contrast to Collings Jumbo slope shoulder dreadnoughts actually feature Jumbo shaped bodies. The top on this particular model is equipped with ivoroid binding, tortoise pickguard and ivoroid sound hole rosette. This model, as well as a vast majority of Collings acoustics, features prewar scalloped bracing. The bridge is made of ebony and it comes with a belly shape and bone saddle. The neck is made of mahogany, it`s attached to the body at the 14th fret. Ebony fingerboard is equipped with 20 frets and diamond inlays. 25-1/2" scale, 1-11/16" bone nut and nickel-plated Schaller tuners complete the specs.
