Carmen Negra is based on the Carmen model from the Loriente series made by Cordoba. It is a classical guitar with fully acoustic construction and non-cutaway body. Standard classical body is made of rosewood back and side panels. For the top panel, Cordoba offers two options, either a spruce sound board or cedar one. Cedar is for traditionalists and dedicated finger pickers and spruce is for players who`d like to try something new on their nylon-stringer. Both of them, however come with Indian rosewood binding, glossy finish and classical rosette. Cedar, ebony and rosewood dominate the rest of the construction. Rosewood is used for the bridge, it is regular classical. Ebony is used for the 19-fret fingerboard with 2" bone nut and flat radius. Neck is made of cedar.
