Sofia comes from the Loriente series, which is made by Cordoba Guitars. It is a non-cutaway classical guitar with fully acoustic construction. It`s major parts are made up of maple, spruce, cedar, ebony and rosewood. Body panels consist of maple and spruce, which is a wonderful combination if a player wants snappy, lively tone. Maple is on the sides and back and spruce sits on the top as the sound board. They`re equipped with Indian rosewood binding, gloss finish over natural color and classical rosette. Bridge section features a standard classical bridge made of rosewood. This bridge is paired with ebony fingerboard. It is customary throughout the industry to have these two made of the same type of wood, but Cordoba breaks the convention. Cedar is used for the neck only.
