Fender`s Acoustic Pack series of models represents the entry level models made for beginners and young players. The idea is to give the player an instrument and necessary accessories for the rock bottom price and make musicianship less of a privilege. FA-100 Acoustic Pack is the newest model to embark on that mission, it is a 2012 new model which was presented at the NAMM Show. It comes with a non-cutaway dreadnought body made of laminated spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides. This flat-top model is available in natural color with gloss finish. Top is bound in multiple layers of binding, black plastic pickguard and triple circle sound hole rosette. The bridge is made with Fender`s Viking shape and it is a rosewood bridge with compensated saddle. Bridge pins are white and so is the synthetic bone saddle. There are no pickups, mics or preamps built onto this model. The neck is made of laminated agathis with a c contour and bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and it is equipped with 20 frets and dot position inlays. Synthetic bone nut is 1.65" wide and the scale measures at 25-1/3". Chrome hardware, forward strap button, padded gig bag and X bracing complete the spec. The MSRP for this model is set at $99.99.
