Within the Acoustic Packs series, Fender also offers one mandolin pack. Gig bag, picks, strap and instructional material are also included, but the star of the pack is FM-100 mandolin. It comes with a standard shaped body with a set-in neck joint construction. Back and sides on this model are made of laminated nato wood, while the top is made of laminated spruce. Spruce is the most commonly applied top on the steel-stringed acoustic instruments. It is bound in white and finished in high gloss. In the bridge section Fender installs a standard shaped bridge made of rosewood and it features a compensated saddle. Neck on this mandolin is made of nato wood and it is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 20 frets, dot position inlays and synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard.
