GAD series is big and offers a wide range of both acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. Also, there is a fine selection of classical guitars in this series. GAD ro is an acoustic-electric dreadnought with single cutaway design of the body. Electronics installed on it include Fishman`s Matrix under-saddle pickup in combination with end pin jack. This type of amplification is characteristic for Guild`s models. GAD-40C is made of macassar, spruce, mahogany and rosewood. Macassar ebony is used for the back and side panels of the body and is paired with spruce. End result is somewhat similar as with Brazilian rosewood and spruce combo. Mahogany is used for the neck and rosewood comprises both the bridge and fingerboard. Fingerboard has standard 20 frets and 1-11/16" wide bone nut.
