140 series is the second-most expensive member of Guild`s four-series range named Westerly Collection, with only the 150 series having higher price tags. It currently offers twelve models, eleven six-stringers and one bass. M-140E is an orchestra-sized six-stringer and one of the most popular 140 series members. Main features include a non-cutaway body (mahogany back & sides, solid Sitka spruce top), standard 14th fret neck joint, stock Guild/Fishman electronics (under-saddle pickup & soundhole controls), fine hardware, and traditional styling. Natural (w/gloss polyurethane finish, tortoise pickguard, nickel hardware) is the only available color option. Other notable features include a mahogany neck (C profile), 20-fret rosewood/pau ferro fingerboard (the actual material depends on availability), rosewood/pau ferro bridge (the same goes for the bridge), and Guild tuners.
