In the days before Martin`s first dreadnoughts, parlor guitars dominated the steel-string guitar scene. Also known as New Yorkers, parlors were played by country, blues, and jazz musicians, alike. Today, parlors are not as popular as they were 100 years ago, with bigger and louder body shapes claiming the top spots. Hagstrom`s only acoustic-electric parlor model comes in the shape of the Seafarer II Parlor CE. It features a single-cut body (a rare feat even for amplified parlors) made of mahogany and spruce, solid mahogany neck w/14th fret dovetail joint, Fishman electronics (Fishman Isys+ 301 preamp w/onboard tuner & under-saddle pickup). Tobacco Sunburst is the only available color option. Other notable features include a 19-fret fingerboard made of Resinator, fixed resinator bridge, and Hagstrom tuning machines.
