HM 88C is a model from Hofner`s distinguished Master series of classical acoustic guitars. It is one of two models with cutaway design offered by this series. Rosewood and spruce are combined for the body, with the arrangement being: rosewood is on the sides and in the back, with spruce sitting on top. Rich binding and classical rosette are combined with a splendid high gloss finish to complete the top panel. Traditionally, pickguards are not installed on classical guitars. Electronics are non-existent on this model, as Hofner luthiers opted to keep this one fully acoustic. Bridge section is a regular one, it features a standard shaped bridge made of rosewood. Neck is made of alder, which is not s widespread option, as mahogany is. This alder neck is topped with a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard.
