Hofner was founded back in 1887 in what was then known as Austro-Hungarian Empire. Today, company`s headquarters are located in Hagenau, Germany. Classical guitars entered Hofner catalog in 1930 and have remained a significant part of it to this day. Master series offers some of the finest nylon-stringers made under the Hofner name. All models are hand-made in Germany and all feature all-solid body construction. Master Series HM88-C-o comes in with a non-cutaway classical body w/electronics-free construction, vintage styling, 25-3/5" scale, traditional 12th fret dovetail neck joint, and premium hardware. Hofner makes this one in natural color, with gloss finish, gold-plated hardware, and rosewood binding. Other notable features include solid rosewood back & sides, solid rosewood spruce top, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, rosewood bridge, and classical tuners.
