Student series diversifies the nylon-string story told by Hohner. It introduces some unorthodox body shapes to the realm of the nylon string. The first one is dreadnought, Hohner`s favorite body shape for their steel-stringers. Surprised or not, but nylon strings come natural to this dread. HW220 is the name of this guitar and it comes with a non-cutaway shaped body with dovetail neck joint. Mahogany and spruce are combined for body, mahogany is used for back and sides with spruce-made sound board. There are no electronics installed on this nylon dread. Bridge section is standard looking and the bridge is made of rosewood. Neck is made of mahogany and it features a standard back contour. This neck is also equipped with a standard, 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
