Artwood is the main range of the acoustic and acoustic-electric guitar sections of Ibanez catalog. It`s sub-series aim at a wide range of acoustics players around the world, offering great price/quality ratio, wisely balanced vintage/modern styling and hallmark Ibanez playability. For 2014, Artwood range has underwent a major restoration and redefinition of it`s lineup. Many new models, AC450CE among them, were introduced at the 2014 NAMM. AC450CE is an acoustic-electric steel-stringer with a grand concert body and standard neck. Single-cut grand concert body of this model is made of mahogany back and sides and cedar sound board on the top. Subtle tortoise shell binding, vintage tortoise shell pickguard and delicate abalone rosette decorate the top of this marvelous six-stringer. Rosewood bridge on it`s top is fit with a compensated bone saddle and Advantage pins. In the electronics department, Ibanez pairs the Fishman Sonicore pickup with their own AEQ SP2 side-mounted preamp. Neck on this model is made of mahogany. It`s fit with the series standard back contour and 14th fret dovetail joint. On the top, there`s the regular 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
