AEL Series models have large AEL shaped bodies with mahogany bodies and either spruce or flamed maple tops. They also feature a combination of Fishman and Ibanez electronics. AEL is Ibanez response to such large-bodied models as jumbo and dreadnought. AEL8E starts off as an AEL shaped single cutaway model with a body made of mahogany back and sides and flamed maple top. It is available in black and trans red sunburst. The binding on this model is done in white. There are no pickguards featured on this model. The bridge features standard Ibanez shape with white pins and white saddle. The neck on AEL8E is equipped with a dovetail joint placed at the 14th fret. Electronics department includes Ibanez under saddle pickup and Ibanez preamp. The rosewood fingerboard has 20 frets with white dot inlays. The MSRP for AEL8E is set at $384. This is a new model which will be featured on the 2012 NAMM show.
