Artwood Vintage Thermo Aged series is dedicated to acoustic and acoustic-electric models with torrefied and aged tops, as well as backs & sides. Only the upscale models get the aged backs and sides, with the most expensive among them having additional components made of aged wood. AVD80 is, perhaps, the most exclusive member of the current Thermo Aged lineup. It is adorned with lavish abalone bindings and inlays, as well as with gold-plated hardware. Natural High Gloss is the only available color option. Soloid Indian rosewood back & sides (aged), Adirondack spruce top (aged), mahogany neck (aged, soft-V contour), and bound rosewood fingerboard (aged, 20 frets, abalone inlays, multi-ply binding, 1.69" bone nut) comprise the major construction features. Aged rosewood bridge and open-back tuners complete the specs list.
