Beautiful and luxurious AW4000 is the new king of the Artwood range. It is a completely acoustic dreadnought guitar with non-cutaway construction. Back and side panels of the body are amde of solid mahogany, and feature tortoise binding, as well as back side strip. Sound board is made of the finest Caucasian spruce (solid, of course). Here, in the body construction department, Ibanez went for the classic and pretty conservative option counting on the fact that the majority of players who buy expensive acoustic guitars belong to the conservative block (the same reason is behind the body choice and the lack of modern electronics). Brown Sunburst (another nod to the golden age of the acoustics) with glossy finish is the only color option available for AW4000. Bridge on the top is the standard belly-contoured rosewood bridge with a compensated saddle. Double-circle rosette, tortoise binding and the tortoise pickguard decorate the flat sound board. Mahogany neck is fit with a 14th fret dovetail joint and a modern profile. 20-fret fingerboard on its top rocks the standard-sized frets, dot inlays and a 1.69" bone nut. Grover`s open-geared tuners installed on the headstock conclude the list of features.
